Live Your Dream Award Applications now being accepted

Soroptimist International of Napa announced that the Annual Live Your Dream Award Applications are now being accepted for 2018.  Deadline is Nov. 15, 2017 to receive completed applications and two reference forms.

Soroptimist International of Napa’s Live Your Dream Award can be anywhere between $2,000 to $3,000 and is intended to provide additional support to a female head-of-household/mother who is working hard to put herself through school while supporting dependents.  Last year, $2,500 was awarded to the top recipient and $4,000  was awarded in total in cash and support. 

The eligibility criteria for the Live Your Dream Award includes:

- Being Head-of-Household:  primary financial support for herself and her dependents (could include children, spouse, partner, siblings and/or parents).

- Has a financial need.

- Is enrolled in or has been accepted into a vocational/skills training program or undergraduate degree program.

- Lives in a Soroptimist area, and

- Has not previously won the award.

Applications are judged by a confidential outside panel of judges.  The top award winner’s application will be forwarded to the District level for a chance to win even more money and support!
